CHAPTER MEETING ROLES/FUNCTIONARIES
There are three (3) major roles, and a few supportive roles that are necessary to successfully operate a LCGL Chapter Meeting.
    The first is the MODERATOR.
This person leads the meeting, and may be though of as the Toastmaster of the Day or the Master of Ceremonies. Full and comprehensive knowledge of every aspect of LCGL’s Ministry is a pre-requisite. Naturally, there will be an apprenticeship period as a Moderator designate “learns the ropes”.
The second major role is that of the ZOOM MASTER.
In LCGL lingo, the Zoom Master i responsible for all aspects of the technology that supports the successful staging of a meeting. LCGL requires a person who volunteers for this role to be an experienced Zoom Master with one year of experience as a Club or District Zoom Master. We will then provide detailed and specific training on the nuances of being a LCGL Zoom Master.
It is strongly recommended that an LCGL Zoom Master be equipped with a computer with twin monitors. A second device which ideally is a second computer, but could be a phone, is required to show what the viewers are seeing, or in other words, the finished output product.
The Zoom Master will be supported by one or two Chat Monitors, a Microphone Muter, an Audience Monitor, A You Tube Monitor. and a Real-time Researcher.
The third major role is that of a 10-MINUTE EXHORTER.
The structure of a LCGL Chapter meeting requires one person to deliver a prepared 10-minute Exhortation each week. The original 10-minute Exhortation Guideline is accessible on our website.
Since then, two new requirements have been added. The first requires the Exhorter to provide the Zoom Master the identity of the main Scripture passage that undergirds the Exhortation. The second is to provide the Zoom Master with the link to an appropriate song to be played immediately after the Exhorter is introduced.
    The Supportive Roles include:
The Chat Monitor continuously monitors the Zoom Chat as well as the WhatsApp chat for relevant comments or questions that should be brought to the attention of the Moderator. This will then be done by direct message. A knowledgeable Chat monitor will also be available to provide answers to basic questions. Although the meeting is just for one hour, it may be necessary to repost items for a member who joins the platform after the specific link was originally placed.
The You Tube Monitor is critical for contact between the You Tube overflow room and the Zoom audience. Relevant comments or questions in the You Tube overflow room should be copied and placed in the Zoom chat. The Moderator needs to be aware of any relevant comments in the You Tube overflow room.
The Microphone Muter monitors the platform for any open microphone that should not be open at any given time, and mutes them This provides for an enjoyable experience for all involved
The Real-time Researcher is a stand-by asset whose services will be activated in the event that a song or a quotation or even a Bible passage needs to be located immediately.   More than likely this could be  requested by the moderator, or triggered by a comment made by any speaker or Chat participant.

As the Ministry expands, we will need Language Interpreters. We will address that need when it arises.

Finally, there will always be need for the “Murphy”  Counter Operative… That sounds better than a “Gofer”.  Help will always be needed and appreciated when you lease expect it. We are all part of one team.
    Thank you.
